We had a real treat in the studio today in the form of Oscar, an eight year old Shih Tzu with one hell of a haircut, a great neck scarf, and some pretty wonderful owners too.
Displaying all the well-known characteristics of his breed, Oscar was gentle and friendly and eager to sniff around the studio. Described as somewhat of a shy dog, we weren’t too surprised when, taking photos, he would turn to look the other way or hide his face behind mummy’s neck…but we weren’t worried, We get lots of shy dogs come into our studio – Oscar was just one of them!
What did surprise us, as well as owner Tracey and her two daughters, was Oscar’s interest in our wall length mirror, which he repeatedly visited during the shoot! The very glimpse of himself in the mirror and Oscar would smile! We even managed to use this to our advantage during the shoot (you’ve always got to be innovative when working with animals) and we got some terrific photos. Just take a look for yourself.
It was definitely one of those shoots that gets you to wondering who was the most photogenic…
